About
Hello — I’m Kaiyue. This is where I keep notes: things I’ve built, problems I’ve solved the long way round, and the occasional thought that needed more room than a message allows.

About the site
The name comes from the inkstone (硯, suzuri): the slab where ink is ground slowly from a stick and a little water before anything gets written. Preparation first, then the writing. That seemed like the right spirit for a notebook.
Body text is set in Newsreader, interface details in IBM Plex Sans, and code in IBM Plex Mono. The colours borrow from traditional Japanese pigments: paper, ink, vermilion and indigo. The colophon has the details.
